1991 - 2002: DaMert Company
For over a decade Dan Gilbert partnered with the Damert Company of Berkeley, California to publish nearly 100 Triazzle brain-teasers, winning as many awards from numerous industry organizations. The puzzle's unique and original design, together with its appealing graphics quickly became a sensation. The Triazzle brand and artwork was licensed to other consumer products including stationery, apparel products and wallcoverings.
1995: Berkeley Systems
Triazzle Rain Forest Edition CDROM
Berkeley Systems, best known for its After Dark® screen savers and computer games like You Don't Know Jack® published one of the first family-style computer puzzle games, Triazzle Rainforest Edition. The game was later re-release by Activision under it's Headgames label. The Mac & PC game featured several puzzle formats and numerous levels of play together with entertaining animation and music.
2002: Dan Gilbert Digital
Total Triazzle CDROM 2002
In 2002 Gilbert partnered with Digital Content of Minnesota to create an expanded PC game. The puzzle offered the player full puzzle customization and a dozen graphical themes as well as more levels of play and an original sound track. Total Triazzle was sold through limited distribution.
2003 - 2005: Toysmith
Toysmith acquired the DaMert Company and licensed a brand new line of Triazzle puzzles including a jewel-cased magnetic travel series and a boxed series with standard, Junior and Master puzzles. The line also included smaller Tiny Triazzles and 2 spin-off brain-teasers, Cross3™ and Concentra™.
2006 - 2008: MegaBrands®
MegaBrands® brought licensed properties to the Triazzle brand including Disney's Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan, and Fox's The Simsons as well as several Gilbert designs and other artists. 16 new designs were created including 8 brain-teasers and 8 Triazzle Jigsaws. The line was sold for the first time in the mass market.
